The book release of

“Maanush” - Un Chinha – Aapa Chinha in Hindi by well-known artist Shri Haku Shah published by Rajkamal Prakashan, on 23rd June 2009, 6.00 pm at IIC Annex, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi.

A conversation was held by Shri Ashok Vajpayee, Dr. Rajmohan Gandhi and Shri Haku Shah on the opening day at 6.00 pm.

In 2008 Haku Shah embarked on a journey to put down the many hued experiences of his life and philosophy - his art, design, writings, research and his lifelong commitment and passion to folk and tribal art. The process took him nearly a year through conversations and discussions with writer Piyush Daiya who stayed with Hakubhai and his wife Vilu through this time in Ahmedabad. The journey culminated in the book.

On this occasion an exhibition of Haku Shah’s drawings and collages was inaugurated at the IIC Annex gallery.

The Exhibition ran with great response till 30th June, 2009 at IIC Annex Gallery.
